Rule 11
Classification of Institutions or Associations
: (1) The classification of institutions or associations on the basis of subject matter shall be as follows:-
(a) Production organizations or associations: Agriculture, dairy, tea, coffee, sugarcane, sugarcane, betel nut, herbs, seeds, beekeeping, vegetables and fruits, animal husbandry and fish farming, based on thematic and leadership and production plans of other productive organizations or such organizations. Associations formed for the promotion of interests. (b) Consumer organizations or associations: Associations formed to promote the interests of other consumer organizations or such organizations on the basis of consumer storage, electricity, communication and health special topics and primary needs and service plans.
(c) Financial Institutions or Associations: Institutions dealing only in savings and loans or associations formed to promote the interests of such institutions.
(d) Labor organization or association: Handicrafts, foodstuff, non-food industrial products, restaurants and labor contracts, and other labor-based organizations or associations formed for the promotion of the interests of such organizations, including thematic and skill specificities of labor and self-employment plans.
(e) Multi-purpose organizations or associations: Multi-purpose organizations or associations formed to promote the interests of such organizations, which also operate production, consumption, financial and labor or skill-based self-employment services. (2) specification of matters mentioned in clauses (a), (b) and (c) of sub-rule (1); Based on the development of general practice and practice, the Government of Nepal may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette and designate additional subjects. (3) Classification of association shall be as follows :-
(a) District, State and Central Unions subject to the specific subject mentioned in clauses (a), (b), (c) and (d) of sub-rule (1),
(b) the multi-purpose district, state and central union referred to in clause (e) of sub-rule (1),
(c) District and State Co-operative Societies,
(d. Specialized associations and
(e) National Federation of Cooperatives. But nothing written in it shall not hinder the formation of other organizations as per sub-rule (1) at the initial level. (4) Classification of cooperative banks shall be as prescribed by Nepal Rastra Bank.
